Membership Benefits

One of the greatest wishes of those over 60 years of age is to remain in their homes. Another wish is to feel connected and avoid isolation. Becoming a member of Village Neighbors empowers seniors. Village Neighbors provide seniors with practical help. This assistance includes completing household tasks seniors can no longer do alone and providing rides to appointments, social events, and the grocery store.

Membership also provides opportunities to have fun and socialize! Whether you are a Chincoteague native or a newcomer, you will find interesting people and engage in stimulating activities by being a member of Village Neighbors.

Transportation

Typical destinations on Chincoteague include medical appointments, grocery stores, religious services, and social and cultural events.* Transportation services may also include assistance with getting to and from the vehicle and carrying groceries.

*Helpful Village will attempt to fulfill requests for medical appointments off of the Island. However, there may be an additional expense to the Member.
